Hi Nicole! Samantha here. I think oblivion means you can't see something or you don't know what is happening. E.G. She is oblivious to the fact he just doesn't like her. I think it's a gift beacuse they won't know whats happening and they will just die and will turn oblivious to the happenings on earth.
